Sinking Trawler

• Designed, prototyped, tested, and installed access hatches into the floor of the set

• Assisted with the organisation and implementation of pneumatic bubble rigs in the bottom of the tank to create frothing water as the ship sank

• Aided with fabrication, installation, and commissioning of the overall hydraulic rig

Additional information:

• There were 7 hatches installed on set, so 7 (+1 spare) were built

• They were designed to be quickly removable from both inside and outside the set

• In addition to just air sources at the bottom of the tank we included air sources inside the ship to really sell the turmoil in the water

• There were also water sources located inside the ship, and special "blasts" of water used to sell the effect of the explosion going off

• Fun fact: We drained the underwater stage tank to fit the ship, rig, and bubbles (I believe we were the first production allowed to do so)
