"Flying" Airplane
As detailed below I assisted with the build and testing.
Resume bullet points:
hydraulic “flying” airplane: Assisted with machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing
Additional information:
SKILLS USED: metal working (cutting, grinding, turning, MIG welding), hydraulics basics
The brief was for an aircraft in flight to be tailgating a vehicle. This was achieved by mounting the aircraft on a towable trailer with an arm to raise and lower the aircraft and give the sense of flight.
Not my design, but I fabricated the aircraft mounting head.
Not my design, but I fabricated the hydraulic pack holder.
While I assisted elsewhere on the project the two examples above were my builds. They can be seen here on top of the tube and at the back of the trailer. The parallel arm seen above in its low and high positions.
