SKILLS USED: Organization and writing

Working in and learning special effects from the bottom up has given me an appreciation for training and how important it is for information to be shared. As I’ve mentioned before, special effects covers a wide variety of skills, techniques, and equipment - and there can be a long gap before that information is needed again. I have taken it upon myself to start documenting best practice, operating procedure, and other useful information about every aspect of special effects. I have included two of these documents: The operation of a medium layflat position, and the operation of a steam boiler. This is something I’m personally interested in and would like to continue this kind of documentation in the future.
